MorrisseyMorrissey doesn't know if he will perform live again.

The "Everyday Is Like Sunday" singer is currently hospitalized suffering from double pneumonia, a bleeding ulcer and gastrointestinal condition Barrett's esophagus. He has had to cancel all of his booked live dates, and isn't sure when he will take to the stage again.

"It takes a lifetime to find the right words, and at the moment, I haven't got them. I've been a colossal pain where this continuously unpredictable illness is concerned, and now the physical limits have been reached. The tour had, in fact, been fantastic for all of us - a new slice of life full of concentrated power. The audiences everywhere have given so much, although I know that neither of us will ever receive our due. I hope this isn't the end, and I hope there will be other chances, minus the heavy burden of illness. Knots of grief today, but full of resolve for tomorrow."

Over the weekend, the 53-year-old former Smiths frontman's publicist confirmed he had had to cancel the rest of his concerts in America due to ill health and they will not be rescheduled.

BeyonceBeyonce has released two new tracks, "Bow Down" and "I Been On." The 31-year-old singer unveiled an audio clip of her first new material since 2011's 4 album on her website yesterday. The track was accompanied by a photo of the singer as a child standing in a room full of trophies.

Lyrics include the lines, "I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world / Don't forget it / Respect that / Bow Down b****es." Elsewhere she sings, "I took my time to live my life but don't think I'm just his little wife / Don't get it twisted this is my sh*t."

The clip takes pieces from two different songs, "Bow Down," which has reportedly been produced by Hit-Boy and "I Been On" which is thought to have been made with Timbaland.

Beyonce's lyrics appear to refer to her absence from the music industry as she has become a mother to daughter Blue Ivy, now 14-months, and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, but her choice of words and apparent attitude have divided opinion. "I'm not sorry that @beyonce is a trend-setter and doesn't sound like everyone else. It's about changing the game #beyhive (sic)" one fan wrote on Twitter.

Elton JohnElton John pulled out of his Alabama concert for "medical reasons." The 65-year-old singer was due to play a gig at the Birmingham Jefferson Complex Arena in Alabama on Friday, but has been forced to cancel on medical advice, according to E! News.

A statement posted on Ticketmaster.com, just hours before the concert was due to begin, said, "This event has been cancelled. Refunds at Point of Purchase only. Internet & Phone orders will automatically be cancelled & refunded."

It was recently revealed Elton requested an extra hotel room just for his glasses during a recent visit to Brazil. The "Candle In The Wind" singer requested the additional quarters to house his spectacles at the Ouro Minas five-star hotel in Belo Horizonte ahead of a gig earlier this month, and he asked promoters of the show to ensure the temperature of the extra room was maintained at 60.8 degrees Fahrenheit. He also made a number of beverage requests including four bottles of cranberry juice, a pint of fresh skimmed milk and two bottles of good quality Pinot Grigio wine, as well as eight small bottles of French Evian water, and five large bottles or 12 small bottles of San Pellegrino sparkling water.

RihannaRihanna resumed her Diamonds world tour last night. The "Stay" singer was back on stage in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after being forced to cancel two shows due to laryngitis, and appeared in good spirits ahead of the show.

"One of my favorite cities in America #PHILLYnation #DiamondsWorldTour WE BACK!!!!! (sic)," she wrote on Twitter.

Rihanna had to cancel dates in Boston and Baltimore after falling ill immediately after the first show of the tour in New York state and tweeted she was "embarrassed" about it: "BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down. I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!(sic)."

The singer will reschedule both of the missed dates and intends to give fans a special show when they do happen.

Arctic MonkeysArctic Monkeys are planning to release a new album this year.

The "R U Mine" band's drummer, Matt Helders, confirmed plans to follow up 2011's Suck it and See in 2013, with the group currently hard at work in the US. "Hopefully we'll get it out this year - that's the plan," he told The Sun.

However, he has also recently said the band - which also includes singer Alex Turner, bass player Nick O'Malley and guitarist Jamie Cook - are in the early stages of writing and haven't recorded any songs "specifically" for a new album yet.

"We've just been working stuff out with the band. Nothing serious yet. It's just been us four working stuff out like we used to I guess. We had a bit of a break. It's always weird when you first get back into it to know what kind of songs we write any more," he added.

Axl RoseA Guns N' Roses fan is to sue Axl Rose after the singer knocked his teeth out with a microphone.

Darren Wright damaged his two front teeth and injured his mouth after the singer threw his mic into the crowd at the end of the band's set at Australia's Perth Arena on Saturday and has now started legal proceedings to have his dental work paid for, saying it will take months to complete at a cost of $5,000.

"With the bright lights and explosions, I couldn't see anything. The next thing I knew, I was whacked in the mouth. I thought I had been punched. I was quite stunned and it took a few seconds to realize what was going on. I could feel bits of teeth in my mouth. Then someone is climbing through my legs to grab the microphone. I don't think he intended to do it, but it came at me at a fairly flat and hard trajectory. Those cordless microphones are not light. I'm surprised it didn't do more damage. At the very least, I want someone to pay to get my teeth fixed," he said.

Carrie UnderwoodCarrie Underwood would love to write a song about the UK.

The "Before he Cheats" singer is headlining The C2C: Country to Country festival at London's The O2 on Sunday, and thinks the country could provide suitable inspiration for one of her future hits.

"I've been to England a few times already. And country music is full of such incredible writers. I think we could sit down and write a song about anything. About breakfast at St. Pancras [railway station]? Sure, I bet. The train, that's a country image," she said.

Carrie, 30, thinks her genre has become so diverse she could imagine bands from all over the world could make it in the US. "I think an English act could make it. The cool thing about country right now is that there are so many different kinds of country music. You can turn on the radio and hear some people who are really traditional, who have been around forever and still have a huge following, then people like me, Rascal Flatts and [New Zealander] Keith Urban. He's not from the US and he's one of our biggest stars. Things that are more rock, more pop and even people who are rapping in country songs lately, I don't know how," she added.

Celine Dion and Ne-Yo

Ne-Yo has recorded a duet with Celine Dion. The "Closer" hitmaker had a "surreal" time in the studio with the "My Heart Will Go On" star and admitted though he was flattered she wanted his vocals on the track, it made him doubt his abilities as a singer.

"The first time I worked for her I wrote a song for her, which in itself was surreal. This time around I actually did a duet with her - it's her and me on one song, which was a challenge to say the least! I was trying to figure what I was even doing there - why would they need my voice when they have hers? She wanted to do the song as a duet and I was flattered, but it definitely made me question my vocal ability," he said.

David BowieIman has hinted David Bowie will tour again.

Though insiders close to the reclusive star have repeatedly insisted he will not play any shows in support of his new album The Next Day, his spouse - with whom he has 12-year-old daughter Alexandria - has suggested there will be some gigs. She says his family won't be able to join him on the road because of the youngster's schooling in New York.

"We have a 12 year old in school, so we are stuck, we can't travel. Our schedule is around her, so I don't know. We'll have to go visit him, but we won't be on tour with him because she's in school," she said.
